Our buns and people come first.Evansville- The 2022 Victory International Film Festival returns on September 9th and 10th in Downtown Evansville. If we spent all of our time on various social media sites, our bunnies and bun parents would get far less tender, loving, care from us. (We are currently in the process of creating the test).į inally, you may look below and ask yourself, "Where are all the links to the most popular social media sites!?" After-all, everyone has them, right? The answer is that we do have a FB page, which we rarely look at. To help ensure you and your new bunny will be well cared for, you will need to pass our "Test Your Bun Knowledge" test before you can adopt one of our bunnies. You will find a wealth of information under, "Learn About Bunnies". If we do not have a bunny right now that you are interested in, and if you are a novice at Holland Lop ownership, please use this time to educate yourself and/or your family on the proper care and feeding of a bunny. That page is continuously being updated so please check there often for updates. N ow that you have familiarized yourself with TLC Holland Lops, go to our " Available Bunnies " page to see who is currently available for adoption. Q : Will your rabbitry provide advice for the life of my rabbit? Ear mites are very easy and inexpensive to treat.) (NOTE: Bunnies can get ear mites from hay, grass or the environment outside, or even being exposed to objects that have been outside. Please do not purchase from a bunny mill! You would be far better off to adopt a bunny from an animal rescue facility to help support them.)Ī : Yes - When bought as a show or brooder.Ī : Yes - You may ask for a copy of our membership card. (NOTE: You should run away from any breeder who will not provide you with current photos or a video of where their bunnies are housed. Please see, " Meet Our Bunnies " for photos of our new Bunny Bungalow. A video or photos helps keep rabbitries healthy without disturbing or frightening the bunnies. Either way they will show you their rabbitry and how their bunnies are housed. This is very important not only for the health of their paws but also to continually encourage them to stay potty trained.Ī : Yes - your bun will be perfectly healthy upon going home.Ī : Some may say, "yes" and others may say they will send you photos or a video. As mentioned before, all of our buns have at least 54 square feet of luxurious living spaces in our Bunny Bungalow. Q : Where/how are your rabbits housed or caged?Ī : Inside with plenty of space to hop, jump, move and play. They are rabbits and although veggies (and especially fruits) must be given sparingly, everyone knows that rabbits love their veggies! Occasionally, our bunnies get herbs as well, and they always have apple sticks and proper chew toys, and of course fun hideaways. Some breeders have a horrible practice of giving their rabbits vegetables every 3-5 days to save time and money. Q : What kind of vegetables do you feed your rabbits and how often?Ī : We use only organic leafy greens and/or vegetables, once or twice daily. For an in-depth look at feeding your Holland Lop, see " Bunny Feeding ". Q : What brand of pellets and what amount do you feed your rabbits?Ī : Small Pet Select, Oxbow, Sherwood, or a comparable brand, 1/3 cup per day for adults (for measured pellets). B ecause we don't always have enough bunnies for everyone and we realize you may have to adopt a bunny from a different breeder, below are some questions to ask, and the correct answers you will hear from a premium breeder :
